- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
HR-05 heatsink and its accessory parts.

Remove stock north bridge cooler.

- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Clean thermal paste thoroughly off the NB & SB chipset.
Insert the cable tie through the fins of the heatsink.

- STEP 5 -
- STEP 6 -
Tie around the heatsink as shown in picture.
Insert tail end into head end of the cable tie.

- STEP 7-
- STEP 8-
Pull cable tie to tighten.
Fold the lose end of cable tie into the heatsink.

- STEP 9-
- STEP 10-
Do so for the other 3 corners as shown in picture.
Apply thermal paste evenly on the heatsink base and on the northbridge die.

- STEP 12-
Install the two push-pins to the heatsink wire clip.
Insert heatsink clip with the push-pins installed through the heatsink.

Installation of HR-05 complete.
Note: the folding of the cable tie is for it to act as a cushion to prevent contact from the HR-05 with other electrical components creating a possible short circuit.



Fan Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Parts for the HR-01 (AMD K8) heatsink.
Apply a thin layer of thermal paste on to bottom of the heatsink base.

- STEP 3 -
STEP 4-
Insert the wire clip with the 6 square-openings between the heat pipes.
Align and place the white cylinder shaped plastic into the hole on top of the heatsink base.

- STEP 5 -
- STEP 6 -
With the 6 square-opening wire clip, secure one end of the wire clip onto the lugs on the retention mount, and then do the same for the other side.
Finally, turn the lock handle on the wire clip counter-clockwise all the way to the other end to secure heat sink in place.

- STEP 7-
HR-01 (AMD K8) installed.
