775 Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Apply a thin layer of thermal paste to the top of CPU and bottom of heatsink base.
Place heatsink on the top of CPU with the screws protruding through the motherboard on the backside.

Attach the 775 backplate to the bottom of the socket.
Secure the heatsink in place by tightening the nuts on the screws using the mini wrench.
STEP 5
Installation complete.
1366 Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Pull out the pins away from the spring loaded screws.
Remove the 775 retention mechanism from the heatsink.
- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Use the wrench to loosen the screws.
Use the wrench to tighten the same screws on the 1366 scissor mount.
STEP 5
STEP 6
Be sure to tighten all the way down. To check for sturdiness, press down on the screws to see if they still have room to spring.
Retract the scissor mount to smallest from and insert between the heatpipes.
STEP 7
STEP 8
Expand back to original from to settle on top of heatsink base.
Insert the pins through the holes found near the top of the screws to secure in position.
STEP 9
STEP 10
Make sure to keep the pin leveled at both ends.
Apply a thin layer of thermal paste to the top of CPU and bottom of heatsink base.
STEP 11
STEP 12
Place heatsink on the top of CPU with the screws protruding on the backside.
Attach the 1366 backplate to the bottom of the socket.
STEP 13
STEP 14
Secure the heatsink in place by tightening the nuts on the screws using the mini wrench.
Installation complete.
Fan Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Apply the anti-vibration strips to the spot depicted in the above illustration. (Red:12CM / Blue: 14CM fans)
Insert each end of fan wire clips into their designated fan holes on the heatsink.
STEP 3
STEP 4
Pull on wire clips to hook into fan mounting holes (as circled in red).
Fan Installation complete.
