Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
IFX-14 and its included accessories
Socket AM2 and 775 retention mechanism. Select the appropriate one for installation on your system.

The ones that are circled in red are for 775 sockets while the green ones are for AM2. To begin installation, please insert the hollow pillars through the mounting holes from the back of the plate and then use the appropriate O-rings to secure in place.
Stick the 0.3mm double sided square thermal pad in the place shown in the picture (inside the squared socket).

Place the heatsink base on top of the thermal pad.
Stick the 1.5mm thermal pad on top of heatsink base.

- STEP 7-
- STEP 8-
Align the mounting holes from both the backplate and the motherboard with the heatsink base in contact with the back of the CPU socket.
Install the appropriate bracket mount on the motherboard


- STEP 9-
- STEP 10-
Apply a thin layer of thermal paste to the CPU and to the bottom of heatsink base.
Place CPU heatsink (IFX-14) on top of CPU.

- STEP 11-
Secure the CPU heatsink (IFX-14) in place with its mounting mechanism.


Fan Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Stick anti-vibration strips to heatsink fins (as shown in picture).
Insert each end of fan wire clips into holes on the fins and pull on wire clips to hook into fan mounting holes (as circled in red).

- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Fan installation complete.
Fan can also be installed between the heatsink towers.
