Ultra-120 Motherboard Compatibility Information
Intel socket T (LGA775) Platform

With our own LGA775 adapter, Ultra-120 can be installed on most of Intel socket T motherboards. So far, we’ve found that on some Gigabyte boards, there exists a cooler back plate that hinders the installation of Ultra-120. Please refer to this link on how to properly remove the cooler back plate to install the Ultra-120.

If you’ve found any other board that is not compatible, we would appreciate if you could report them here.

AMD socket 754/939/940 platform

Ultra-120 is designed to fit most of AMD socket 754/939/940 motherboards. If you find any that is not compatible, we would appreciate if you could report them to here.

Note: For MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, you will need to purchase the S-type heatsink clip to turn the heatsink 90 degrees to face the power supply in order to fit.

AMD socket AM2 Platform

Ultra-120 is designed to fit most of AMD socket AM2 motherboards. If you find any that is not compatible, we would appreciate if you could report them to here.

Note: As with most Gigabyte, Asrock, and some DFI boards, their K8 boards use push-pin type RM's so there is no plate in the back of motherboard to support Thermalright’s customized RM.  You will need to purchase separately a metal K8 backplate.
