775 Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Ultra-120 and its accessory parts
Socket 775 motherboard.

- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
First, install 775 backplate on the back of the motherboard.
Place the anti-vibration adhesive strip on each side of the heatsink.

- STEP 5 -
- STEP 6 -
Insert one end of fan wire clip at the top of the heatsink into where its designated hole is.
Insert the other end of fan wire clip at the bottom of the heatsink into where its designated hole is.

- STEP 7 -
- STEP 8 -
 
Anti-vibration adhesive strips and fan wire clips installed.
Anti-vibration adhesive strips and fan wire clips installed.

- STEP 9 -
- STEP 10 -
Apply a thin layer of thermal paste on the CPU and on the base of the heatsink.
Put the heatsink on top of the CPU.

- STEP 11 -
- STEP 12 -
Install the spring loaded screws onto the 775 bracket mount.
Secure the 120mm fan by hooking the fan wire clip into the designated hole on the fan.

- STEP 13 -
- STEP 14 -
Plug in the 120mm fan to the fan power outlet on the motherboard.
Installation complete.


K8 Installation
- STEP 1-

Ultra-120 and its accessory parts
Socket 939 motherboard system

- STEP 3 -
- NOTE-
Remove socket 939 K8 stock RM
If your backplate is of plastic (such as in the case for some Gigabyte and DFI motherboards), replace it with a metal backplate before going to the next step.

- NOTE -
- STEP 4-
If you have the metal backplate (ASUS or MSI), please proceed to next step.
Place the anti-vibration adhesive strip on each side of the heatsink.
 

- STEP 5-
- STEP 6-
Insert one end of fan wire clip at the top of the heatsink into where its designated hole is.
Insert the other end of fan wire clip at the bottom of the heatsink into where its designated hole is.

- STEP 7 -
- STEP 8 -
Anti-vibration adhesive strips and fan wire clips installed.
Apply a thin layer of thermal paste on the CPU and on the base of the heatsink.

- STEP 9 -
- STEP 10 -
Put the K8 bracket mount through the heatsink.
Put the heatsink on top of the CPU.

- STEP 11-
- STEP 12 -
Install the spring loaded screws onto the K8 bracket mount in two separate places.
Secure the 120mm fan by hooking the fan wire clip into the designated hole on the fan.

- STEP 13 -
- STEP 14 -
Plug in the 120mm fan to the fan power outlet on the motherboard.
Installation complete.
