- STEP 1-

Ultra90
heatsink and its included parts.
Apply a thin
layer on the bottom of the heatsink
base.
- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Place
heatsink on top of CPU die in an upright position.
Align and put
the fasteners into the four holes on the motherboard, turn clockwise to secure
heatsink in place. Do so, for the remaining three
fasteners.
- STEP 5 -
- STEP 6 -
Press down on
the fasteners until you hear a click.
Installation
of heatsink completed.
- STEP 7 -
- STEP 8 -
Insert each
end of the fan wire clip to the designated holes on the heatsink. Do the same
for the other side of the heatsink.
Installation
of the fan wire clips
completed.
- STEP 9 -
- STEP 10 -
Place the fan
closely to the heatsink and hook the clips into the holes on the fan.
Installation of the fan completed.
Plug in the
fan
AM2 Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Stock AM2
Socket RM.
Remove/uninstall the four
screws.
- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Replace stock
RM with AM2 RM (Rev. A)
Tighten the
four screws.
- STEP 5-
- STEP 6-
Slide the
S-clip through the heatsink.
Turn the
S-clip at an angle.
- STEP 7-
- STEP 8-
Place
heatsink's center pillar on the socket.
Turn the
S-clip back up right.
- STEP 9 -
- STEP 10 -
Rotate the
S-clip 90 degrees so that the heatsink is facing the system exhaust
fan.
Hook the two
ends of the S-clip on to the lugs at each end of
RM.
- STEP 11 -
- STEP 12 -
Push in the
lock handle to secure in place.
Installation
complete.
478 Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Ultra90
heatsink and its included parts (P4-478 Heatsink Retention
Kit sold separately).
Apply a thin
layer on the bottom of the heatsink
base.
- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Secure the
M-shaped heatsink clip to the heatsink by tightening the screw to the
center.
Insert the
retention plate from an angle through the heatsink between the
heatpipes.
- STEP 5-
- STEP 6-
Connect the
convex part on the retention plate to the concave part on top of the
heatsink.
Hook one end
of the M-shaped heatsink clip to one side of the retention mount on the
motherboard.
- STEP 7-
- STEP 8-
Hook the
other end of the M-shaped heatsink clip to the other side of the retention
mount. Installation of the heatsink completed.
Insert each
end of the fan wire clip to the designated holes on the heatsink. Do the same
for the other side of the
heatsink.
- STEP 9 -
- STEP 10 -
Place the fan
closely to the heatsink and hook the clips into the holes on the fan.
Installation of the fan completed.
Plug in the
fan to the fan power outlet on the
motherboard.
K8 Installation
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Ultra90
heatsink for K8 and its included parts
Apply a thin
layer on the bottom of the heatsink
base.
- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Insert the
heatsink clip through the heatsink between the heatpipes.
Place the
white cylindrical plastic part from the heatsink clip to the concave part on top
of the heatsink base.
- STEP 5-
- STEP 6-
Hook the
heatsink clip to the three prongs on the retention mount on one side and then do
the same for the other side.
Insert each
end of the fan wire clip to the designated holes on the heatsink. Do the same
for the other side of the
heatsink.
- STEP 7-
- STEP 8-
Installation
of the fan wire clips completed.
Place the fan
closely to the heatsink and hook the clips into the holes on the fan.
Installation of the fan
completed.
- STEP 9 -
Plug in the
fan.
