Installation Type 1
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Remove
stock cooler and clean thermal
paste off GPU
If
your video card does not come
with GPU metal mount, apply the
included black cushion padding.
- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Stick
the RAM sinks to the memory chips.
For the ones under the heatpipes,
please use the flat RAM sinks.
Apply
thermal paste to GPU and to top
of heatisnk base.
- STEP 5-
- STEP 6-
Insert
the screws in accordance to which
direction the arrows in the above
picture are pointing to.
For
further reference/guidance please
read below note.
- STEP 7-
- STEP 8-
Insert
black washers on the other side
of backplate.
With
the screws and the washers applied,
attach the backplate to the back
of the video card.
- STEP 9 -
- STEP 10 -
Attached
the heatsink base to the GPU (with
video card in between the heatpipes)
as shown in the picture.
Install
the bracket mount and use the
screw caps to secure tightly the
heatsink in place.
Installation Type 2
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Remove
stock cooler and clean thermal
paste off GPU.
If
your video card does not come
with GPU metal mount, apply the
included black cushion padding.
- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
For
RAM chips under the heatsink heatpipes,
use the flat RAM sinks.
Apply
thermal compound to the bottom
of the heatsink base and on the
GPU.
- STEP 5-
- STEP 6-
Screw
tightly into the bracket mounting
holes.
Place
the heatsink on top of the GPU.
- STEP 7-
- STEP 8-
Place
the bracket mount on top of heatsink
base with the screws inserted
to the other side.
On
the other side, insert the black
washers through the screws.
- STEP 9-
- STEP 10-
Take
note of how the backplate is to
be installed. (please read note
below). The arrows shown in the
above picture should indicate
which direction to face the board.
Cap
the screws using the screw caps
and turn to secure tightly in
place.
Installation of 92mm fan
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2-
Insert
the fan wire ends into fan wire
holes on the heatsink.
Place
the 92mm fan on top of heatsink
and pull fan wire to hook into
fan mounting holes.
Installation of 82mm, 70mm, 60mm fan
- STEP 1-
- STEP 2 -
Place
the fan on top of heatsink and
insert zip tie through fin holes
and then back to mounting holes
on the fan.
Pull
zip tie to tighten and secure
fan to the heatsink.
NOTICE:
When installing the backplate
please take note. If installing
on video cards that have two
mounting holes, use the two
holes indicated by the red arrows
and note the direction to which
way the screws should be inserted.
For video cards that have four
mounting holes, use the mounting
holes on the backplate indicated
by the green arrows, and note
the direction to which way the
screws should be inserted.
It is vital that the backplate
is installed correctly to avoid
short circuiting your video
card.
