1156 Bolt-Thru-kit installation

Overview of the 1156 Bolt-Thru-kit
Place the 1156 backplate underneath the motherboard. Please mind the three locations indicated by the red circles in the above illustration as they have to be aligned with the screws from the motherboard.

Apply a thin layer of thermal paste to the cpu and to the bottom of the heatsink base.
Slide mounting bracket through heatpipes and extend fully back to its original form.

Place heatsink on top of CPU. Secure the heatsink by tightening on the first two spring-loaded screws in a diagonal fashion.
Do the same for the other two spring-loaded screws and be sure to tighten all the way down for a secure installation.

After the four spring-loaded screws have tightened down check to see if they are level. If one should appear as the one circled in red, please loosen it by 2-3 cycles counterclock-wise.
If the mounting bracket springs upward it creating a click sound. Just tighten it a little further down and it should be ok. Afterwards check each screw to see if they are level. Any unevenness will affect the heatsinkˇ¦s performance.
