AM2/AM3 Heatsink Horizontal installation
- STEP 1-

AM2/AM3 BTK Rev.2 & included accessories
Align and insert the pillars from the backplate through the mounting holes on the back side of the motherboard.
- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Apply a thin layer of thermal paste to the top of CPU and bottom of heatsink base.
Place CPU heatsink on top of CPU. Slide the mounting bracket through between the heatpipes in its retracted form.
- STEP 5 -
- STEP 6 -
In a cross diagonal pattern, screw in the spring loaded screws.
Installation complete.
AM2/AM3 Heatsink Vertical installation
- STEP 1-

AM2/AM3 BTK Rev.2 & included accessories
Align and insert the pillars from the backplate through the mounting holes on the back side of the motherboard.
- STEP 3 -
- STEP 4 -
Apply a thin layer of thermal paste to the top of CPU and bottom of heatsink base.
Slide the mounting bracket through between the heatpipes in its retracted form. Once through, revert the mounting bracket back to its full extended form.
- STEP 5 -
- STEP 6 -
First tighten the spring loaded screws by hand.
Then use the included mini-wrench to tighten fully to complete installation.
